Stir Crazy

Only so much snow and ice will keep him entertained. It isn't even worth going out and playing in the snow. It is layered and not fun for playing in. Snow, ice, snow, ice, snow

It was cute when I saw him doing this today. He wants sunshine to go to the park!

We had an ice storm here today. We lost a tree in our backyard, it wasn't a big one, and it didn't damage anything. I went outside with my macro lens to take some pictures. Jamie thought I was a little weird laying in the ice/snow getting the grass shots.

Drew has so much fun this week. It started snowing on Sunday. It was very pretty on Sunday, and now it sucks. It is so icy, and very cold. And more snow and ice are expected tomorrow.

And it was funny, he was trying to throw snowballs at me, and it ended up like this.


His cheeks were so red by the time we went in.

Mt. Hood

It had been foggy all week, it never seemed to go away. Yesterday was so nice! We went to the Mt. Angel Abbey, it had such a pretty view!

Been a tad busy!

I have been really busy these last few weeks. I took pictures of 3 different families. And just to humor my friend Aimee, I am going to post something.

Spiderman

Well the obnoxiously cute furry hooded costumes are out. I don't get to dress him up cute and adorable anymore. He is old enough to know what he wants. This year it was any superhero themed costume. At any day prior to October 31st it changed daily. One day it was Batman, another day it was Superman, Incredible Hulk, or Spiderman. The Spiderman costume had "muscles" or as Drew called them "Boobies". Jamie was quick to correct him. He thought he was pretty cool.

Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year. The crispness in the air, the color of the leaves. My sister and I have been looking for little cool spots downtown to take some pictures. We met for lunch with Drew in tow. I knew he would lose interest and not want to sit there for pictures. So we had been at a thrift store. And for 0.75$, he was putty in my hands. This is what it takes.

What matters to a 3.7 year old.....

Drew is specific to what he wants during nap time or bedtime, he doesn't ask for much. He loves his CARS pillow, his soft Go Diego Go blanket. These things are what he likes to have to go to sleep, as he calls it (thank you "Apple Barb") cozy warm. I went to check on him during his nap yesterday, and apparently he has added to his repertoire .......
It was dark in his room, it was rainy yesterday. I had to bounce my speedlight.

Oh yeah baby....Hulk hands!
And to me, it is perfect. To him, that is what makes the world go round.

Beautiful Girl

This little girl was just a gem. So very quiet and so very nice. And those freckles....are so dang cute!

Composition

One of my major problems is centering things

I am on a mission to have better composition in my photos. Here is a photo I took of my sister. I was trying to use the rule of thirds and trying not to put her in dead center. Which I thought looked really nice.



But looking at this photo after downloading it she was to much centered for the rule of thirds . I then cropped it to this.


Which I think is more appealing.

Lazy mornings

I love Sunday mornings, or any mornings that we can sleep in and "nuggle" ( as Drew calls it). What makes my day, is Drew's infectious laugh, his messy hair (for the life of me, I can't get to stay down),his slightly large ears, small button nose, etc . I could go on and on, but I won't bore you. You get the idea...How can you not smile at this?

Fun times....


And this one? He is going to be a heartbreaker. His dad and I absolutly adore him!

One more

I like this one...he is to good to smile now. He just sits there, and I am holding my breath and wait for him to look at me. Because, I know that I only have a second before he runs,jumps or hides from me. I have even resorted to bribing and pleading with him to smile. So this is all I get now.

It has been a while

Wow! Almost a month since my last post. I have been super busy....
I just have been really trying to step out of my comfort zone, and take pictures of other people. Drew is a lot happier now! Here is some that I took today of Drew. He is getting so big, not a baby anymore.
